ORIGAMI

"Origami" is a bold exploration of the interplay between fashion, form, and fragility. Exhibited in 2012 at the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, this series reimagines paper as couture, blurring the boundaries between the ephemeral and the timeless. Each piece transforms the human body into a living sculpture, where intricate folds and sharp edges of paper mimic the elegance and structure of high fashion.

Photographed in a studio with mixed lighting and long exposures, the images transcend static portraiture, capturing a dynamic dialogue between light, movement, and material. The blurred traces of motion intertwine with the precise geometry of the paper, evoking themes of impermanence and reinvention. "Origami" invites the viewer to question the relationship between the fragile and the enduring, celebrating the transformative power of creativity in contemporary photography.
